Seasonal Status: Abundance Status: The abundance status of each species is based on observation in the appropriate habitat(s). Transient status is not indicated for summer, winter, or permanent residents unless the transient is different.
PR -- permanent resident; some individual present year round. c -- common or abundant; usually observed daily in large numbers
SR -- summer resident; a breeder. u -- uncommon; fairly frequent reports, usually in small numbers
SV -- summer visitor; a non-breeder. r -- rare; more than 15 records; usually recorded annually
WR -- winter resident; between 15 December and 20 February. ca -- casual; 5-15 records; occasionally reported
WV -- winter visitor; usually present for only a short period of the winter. a -- accidental; 1-4 records; a vagrant
T -- transient in spring and/or fall. [  ] -- hypothetical; at least one possibly valid record, but has not met criteria for full acceptance by the Missouri Bird Records Committee (MBRC)
